Based at:            Head Office, Stockton-On-Tees

Hours:                  35 hours per week

Reporting to:     Solution Delivery Manager

Salary Range:    £45k-50k depending on experience


An exciting new opportunity has opened for a talented individual who is seeking a new challenge or perhaps someone looking to take the next step in their career. The purpose of the role is to evolve the organisation’s data architecture and delivery through the design and development of data repositories, application integration, and data processing, allowing for the efficient, scalable delivery of products and services against our data estate.


There are some essential skills you will need to have: 

  • Experience with Data Lake and Azure Data Factory is essential
  • Expert in designing data storage practices within Microsoft Azure with a strong understanding of the Azure ecosystem.
  • Expert in Microsoft database technologies: T-SQL and SSAS.
  • Detailed knowledge of ETL/ELT practices.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve SQL query performance issues on large data sets.
  • Experience of utilising SQL Server metadata.
  • Ability to analyse data quality, identify issues and create the means of addressing those issues.
  • Experience of dimensional and relational database design and data warehousing.
  • Detailed understanding of database design and processing in relation to the storage of unstructured data.
  • Proficient in data modelling and design.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and its application to database development.
  • Understanding of data management and governance and experience of implementing processes around the data lifecycle.
  • Ability to develop, set, and maintain data standards, and experience in managing meta data.
