Based at:            Stockton-on-Tees

Hours:                  35 hours per week

Reporting to:     Chief Operating Officer

Salary Range:       £80,000 to £90,000 depending on experience

Closing Date:        19 August 2022


An exciting opportunity has opened for a Head of Commercial Operations to oversee the day-to-day commercial operational activities across the group, leading Smart Zones commercial activities with hands on approach where necessary. Focus on the long-term interests of the business, maximising revenue, profitability, and contribution to group. Developing new business opportunities in current markets whilst seeking growth in the managed/Free of Tie pub sectors. Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and peer group to explore and develop potentially new applications of the Group’s proven technologies.


There are some essential experience and leadership skills you will need to have: –

  • Defining long-term strategic objectives and developing clear plans to implement them.
  • Set budgets to sustain and develop current revenue and profitability contribution
  • Analyses sales and key management reports giving customers insight on opportunities to improve performance and return on their assets
  • Promote cross functional collaboration on matters arising such as contracts and commercial operations
  • Evaluating and improving internal processes and systems and ensuring employees work as a cohesive unit.
  • Developing team managers including support with recruitment, training and managing the performance of each employee
  • Support sales teams and key account managers in the retention of existing clients.
  • Review analysis of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress towards agreed goals and objectives.
  • Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data, and analysis.
  • Set policies and processes
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
