Based at:            Stockton-On-Tees, Head Office

Hours:                  35 hours per week

Reporting to:     Head of Technology

 

An exciting new opportunity has opened for a talented individual who is seeking a new challenge the purpose of the role is to  architect and lead the implementation of robust, scalable, cloud-first infrastructure upon which the organisation’s external and internal products & services are developed and maintained. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring all systems across the data centres, platforms and network & telephony environments remain highly available, stable, secure, monitored and maintained.

There are some essential experience and leadership skills you will need to have:

  • Proven experience of leading teams to accomplish key transformation activities.
  • Excellent client facing/stakeholder management experience.
  • Ability to define, implement and enforce processes to ensure business continuity.
  • Knowledge of standard design methodologies such as TOGAF.
  • Substantial experience of:
    • Managing complex IT systems, services, and infrastructure.
    • Project and change management.
    • Managing budgets.
    • Managing the response to complex IT incidents.
    • Procuring IT equipment and services and managing supplier relationships.
    • Managing virtualised server and cloud-hosted environments.
    • Contributing to the development and monitoring of IT policies.
    • Managing Windows-based environments.
    • Installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
    • Designing and implementing authentication strategy based on Active Directory
    • Implementation of cloud environments with Azure, AWS or other major cloud service provider.
    • Supporting critical business systems and designing disaster recovery strategies.
    • Working within an ITIL environment.
